Pei-Che Cheng specializes in graphic design. He used to draw illustrations for Mandarin Daily News and the architecture columns of XinMedia, and is the illustrator of the 2-volume book Meiji Villages on Paper. Cheng loves to travel and appreciates old and new buildings. His illustration works are mostly about architecture. He would visit different places to collect photos of old houses and develop project ideas. Through these experiences and close observations, Cheng discovered many charming corners and things in Taiwan that had not been given much attention, and got to feel the profound significance of the ordinary objects from everyday life.
